Vignettes™ Design Series
The Design Series festival is an annual event hosted by Vignettes™. The festival brings together local architects, designers, artists, and makers to bring their best in collaboration and co-creation to build multi-sensory environments and dynamic installations.
Every year, the company takes over under-utilized properties in the downtown core and reinvigorates the spaces to draw in over 20,000 visitors during its festival run.
To date, Vignettes™ has transformed over 100, 000 square feet of vacant spaces in Edmonton’s downtown core.
The Concept
Brick & Mortar aims to change how we think about, and experience, retail through collaboration and connection. By partnering with the Downtown Business Association and supported by PrairiesCan, local businesses can trial their products and services in uniquely designed retail spaces that are popping up in downtown Edmonton for this festival only.
Come see the spaces that have been transformed by local architects, designers, artists, makers and builders. By bringing together Edmonton's art & design industry, the festival co-creates immersive experiences and spaces — pushing the boundaries and reshaping how we experience retail.
